CHEMICAL WEAPONS IN SYRIA: HAVE WE BEEN DUPED?

I have learned to believe nothing that comes from the mouths of this administration. Whether we look at Fast & Furious, Benghazi, the IRS probes, the NSA intrusions, the DOJ targeting news reporters, the cover-ups and lies are enough to make the Nixon group look like a bunch of political Cub Scouts. The Obama team has been confirmed as professional liars and we won’t even touch on the fallouts from Obamacare.

Now we are facing an American military action in Syria, as the administration claims that Assad’s regime has used chemical weapons again its citizens, killing scores of children and more. Horrible, indeed.

It may be true. But, it may not be true.

First, we should look at who has the most to gain and most to lose.

Most to lose would be Assad.  He and his group must know that the UN and the world theater would turn into an instant enemy and that his regime would be short-lived if western nations entered into the war on the side of rebels. If there was any tactical gain by the Assad forces, someone would have to show me. I don’t see it.

But there would be much to gain by the rebels (and by the Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda) if the world – particularly western nations – were on their side, convinced that Assad was using chemical weapons.

Thus the question: Where is the clear evidence that chemicals, in fact, were used by the Assad forces? Could this have been a tactical maneuver by al Qaeda and the rebels to feign victimhood in order to gain allies?  Is it possible that the chemicals were actually deployed by the rebel side, including al Qaeda, only to blame Assad? After all, here we are, ratcheting up an assault against Assad, just as the rebels and al Qaeda would hope.

Assad denies the use of chemicals.  And, he has more to lose than to gain by using them. Perhaps he did, but it’s improbable in the mind of this writer.

Bear in mind, that al Qaeda has access to chemical weapons, as suggested in the article link (below) where Iraq had uncovered a similar plot.

Another grisly fact the administration is failing to tell us, is the looming defense of Assad if Russia and/or China decide to defend their Syrian ally. This could be the foreseeable war to end all wars if we end up fighting Russia and China, over an issue for which we’ve been cleverly duped.

I’m not suggesting this as fact, but I am leery of an administration whose upper echelon would go to great lengths to have us believe that the killings of four Americans in Benghazi was due to an angry response to an insulting video and not a planned Islamist attack which the administration – in fact – knew about in real time. And then it spent two weeks perpetuating the falsehood on news channels including a lie to the United Nations by the president himself.

And I never fail to remember that this president has been supportive of the Muslim Brotherhood throughout the array of uprisings in the middle-east since 2011, and has personnel working in sensitive government positions who are or have been aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood.

Al Qaeda managed to kill 3000 people in America on September 11, 2001. They have been engaged in mass murders around the world ever since. They are our sworn enemy. How could we possibly fight with them, side by side?

It would mean they won, and we lost.

A FRANK MOVIE REVIEW: THE BUTLER – 8

 “The Butler”   Rating:  8

The movie is good. It brings out a myriad of emotions, particularly in regards to the civil rights abuses of the 1950’s 60’s era. Forrest Whitaker is likely to become the second black actor to win two Academy Awards. He deftly plays the role of Cecil Gaines, spanning 34 years as the White House butler under eight presidents, based on the real-life story of Eugene Allen, who retired when serving under Ronald Reagan.

The problem with the movie is the over-fictionalizing of historical details which hurts the credibility of the writers and the movie itself. A movie of this historical magnitude, in which so many of the viewers will have lived through the eras of cold war, Viet Nam, civil rights disturbances, political uprisings, assassinations, and such, leave one to count up the “gotchas.”

For example, The Butler is in the White House consoling Jackie Kennedy later in the same day that her husband had been shot. Her pink suit outfit is stained with blood as she sits in a trance. Problem: Jackie Kennedy was in Dallas, not Washington when this would have occurred.

In some of the early scenes in the mid-1950’s the waving flags had 50 stars, which was inaccurate for those years. (picky picky)

What was most disappointing was to learn that Forest Whitaker’s true life character did not have a son who was in the Black Panthers nor was he an anti-war protester, and that his son never died in Viet Nam. In fact, his only son served honorably in Nam.

I suppose we could say that Oprah Winfrey is a good actress and played her role as Whitaker’s alcoholic cheating wife very well, even though all the research tells me that element was also fictional. The problem I had with Oprah, was Oprah herself.  Her stature and omnipresence on television scene for thirty years in our homes, and becoming the wealthiest woman in entertainment gave me a hard time seeing her as anyone but Oprah. It would be like imagining Donald Trump as anyone but Donald Trump.

It would have been better if the producers had looked for actors that made us believe we were seeing Eisenhower (Robin Williams), Nixon (John Cusack) and Kennedy (James Marsden who looked more like a college sophomore). The big names may be a draw, but they do not fulfill the characters as we all remember them.

The one colossal flaw in the picture comes near the end, as a female aide counsels Reagan during a White House meeting, pleading with him not to lift sanctions against South Africa as it would prolong apartheid. During the scene, Reagan stoically and without explanation, refuses her request three times, bluntly, no dialogue. This makes Reagan appear as a pro-apartheid republican and a quasi-racist. In fact, as history records it, this particular period was crucial in the cold war issues and all the negotiations and conflicts that ultimately led to the fall of communism in the USSR. The story goes, Reagan was opposed to apartheid, but there was a conflicting issue pending at the time, that the sanctions would have had an impact on the cold war. It was all about geopolitics. But the movie leaves the viewer with a different slant, which was wrong to do. It thrust the movie into a political statement. The scene, frankly, could have been left out entirely, because it was basically useless to the story, and meant only to wrongly portray the president.

If anyone has ever studied the life of Ronald Reagan, they know he was not a  racist.

That said, I leave Jane Fonda’s controversial portrayal of Nancy Reagan to last. I feel very much like many Americans, outraged at Jane Fonda’s actions consorting with the enemy in the middle of the war, when our soldiers were under fire and being held in POW camps. I can totally understand why people are remaining at home from this movie. But I like major movies, and I wasn’t going to let Fonda get in my way. However, the anger remains, within me and most Americans of that era.  While Jane Fonda has apologized for her actions, it seems disingenuous that she would wear a “Hanoi Jane” tee-short during a recent television interview promoting the movie, as a statement – “in your face.” Shameful.

In truth, Fonda played in one White House scene and had enough dialogue, perhaps, to fill one page of the movie script. I wouldn’t miss the whole picture because of one scene.

The movie ends with joyous elation over the election of Barack Obama. In terms of minority advancement, I get it. It was fitting. It just saddens me that the first black president was Barack Obama. But that’s another story.

Look for several Oscar nominations, some deserved, some not.

Here’s a video of Jane Fonda’s interview, wearing the tee- shirt:

MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD AND NAZIS

Imagine how much different the world would have been had the German people of 1933 rose up in response to learning they had been duped into electing an evil, totalitarian, fascist regime? Even if it meant Germans and other Europeans would die protesting and fighting, the desperate need to defeat Hitler’s Nazis to protect the future of German children, and of all nations, would have eclipsed all other issues lest the world would suffer the most immense tragedies in the history of man.

But they did not rise up. Sixty million-plus people died and the rest of the world was devastated with endless war casualties, destroyed cities, economic struggles and bitterness. It brought on the cold war and many other conflicts in its wake.

The Muslim Brotherhood of Islam is akin to the Nazi Party of Germany. They are infused with hatred, using religion as a cloak by which to impose strict sharia law, oppression of women, intolerance of other religions and the indoctrination of hatred into children. Killing means nothing, provided it enhances the common purpose.

As riots rage on in Egypt, I support and feel admiration for the civilian resistance to the Muslim Brotherhood. They are doing what Germany should have done in 1933-34. After one year of oppressive rule, where Christian churches are being burned, Jews are expelled and strict Islamic laws have been imposed, the people woke up. Its populace issued a resounding “No” to the Muslim Brotherhood. The Brotherhood may have won some political seats and the presidency in an election, but much of the Egyptian people were unaware what lay ahead until they actually took power.

For freedom and prosperity for the Egyptian people, it was a case of now or never.

True to their manifesto, the Brotherhood used propaganda, deception and the appearance of “moderation” in winning the hearts and minds of Egyptian people. In one year, those people realized they had elected the most fascist organization on the face of planet Earth who fundamentalist Islamist laws would revert freedom-loving Egyptians back to 7th century, where women are treated like property, gays are executed and Christians and Jews are outlawed unless they pay a dhimmitude.

Such were the reason leaders like Assad and Mubarak outlawed the Brotherhood.

The Muslim Brotherhood is more dangerous than the Nazis because the SS and the Brown Shirts wore uniforms. People knew who they were. They were unambiguous.

The Muslim Brotherhood uses stealth, wearing suits and ties with intent to seem “moderate” in order to fool western institutions. They have rooted in on a global scale, throughout all western societies using religion as their Trojan horse of legitimacy.

The so-called “Arab Spring” across the middle-east was a movement led by the Muslim Brotherhood to seize power, including Tunisia, Libya, Egypt and now Syria. Our president and his administration certainly knew this from the outset. Osama Bin Laden and his chief underlings were graduates of the Muslim Brotherhood. The HAMAS and al Qaeda organizations were spawned by the Muslim Brotherhood. This is common knowledge to anyone who has studied and witnessed the progress of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Formed in 1928, their purpose was to recapture and install the powerful caliphate which collapsed after WWI. Their manifestos and strategies, using deception and religion as a primary subterfuge for conquest, are well-known to government officials — the ones who are conscious. Yet, like fools, we coddle them. Our government supported their rise to power in Egypt and Libya, just the way they had hoped. We have employed several people connected to the Muslim Brotherhood inside sensitive positions of our government, including the Secretary of State’s inner circle. Now we’re preparing to support the “rebels” in Syria, who are allied with al Qaeda.

     Have we gone nuts?

Whatever the Egyptian people and their army must do to prevent fascism and tyranny from taking over their liberties is justified. We should be in support of all freedom-loving people, and vehemently oppose anything to do with the Muslim Brotherhood.

     Don’t hold your breath.

If it goes the other way, the way of the Muslim Brotherhood, the middle-east will ultimately regress back to the 7th century from which they may never recover. And it will spread throughout the rest of the world. That is their stated destiny.

Such is the reason America must care. It is why we must be involved. The setback for the Muslim Brotherhood is vital for us all.  If we remain complacent, or stupidly support the wrong side, it will affect more than the Egyptian people. A century from now, America will be an entirely altered nation, with Sharia replacing the constitution. Thus, we are at a crossroads.

Do we want that for our grandchildren’s kids?

NO DEATH PENALTY FOR FT. HOOD KILLER: HERE'S WHY

Americans want to see the Ft.Hood butcher get what he deserves.  After all, he murdered 14 unarmed Americans (including a fetus) and tried to kill 28 more, shooting them all in a vicious rampage. Most folks think he deserves nothing less than the death penalty.
Nidal Hasan, should absolutely not receive the death penalty!  I say this not because I’m a bleeding heart. Because – it’s far too good.
How often do we speak about people who have passed away and we say, “Now he sleeps in peace?
Why should we want Nidal Hasan to sleep in peace? He is an Islamist terrorist who fooled our hapless military command by successfully acting as a mole and using taxpayer dollars for support and education before poisoning the minds of our military personnel with Jihadi propaganda. Finally, he carried out his despicable plan to murder as many innocents as possible in one rampage for no other reason than them being Americans and non-Muslim infidels.
Most importantly: The death penalty would provide him – and the Islamist Jihad world – martyr status. He’ll be marked a hero among millions of hating Islamists who want to see all of us dead. He’ll be a symbol of Jihadi heroics. Others will revel in following his footsteps to a path of glory. That glory can only come in the form of death. In other words, more will follow…if he dies in the name of Allah.
It is what he wants! It is what the Jihadis want. It accomplishes the mission, and we’re about to fall into that trap.
Entering into the death void is not a punishment. He will hear, see and know nothing. He will be free. The Jihad world will not deem that as punishment, but as a golden path to Allah and whatever awaits in paradise. It will pose no deterrent, only a desired mission for more Jihadists.
He wins, we lose. Americans in general, haven’t got a clue into the mind-set of these maniacs.
If we want to impose a significant punishment – one that he and other Jihadis will dread – think about this:
Confine Nidal Hasan to a solitary cell for life, with three meals a day, medical care and basic needs. Just like most death row cells in America’s state prisons, he will have no social contacts in or out of the cell. He can have three showers a week. No visitors, other than legal aids.
Emboss photographs of all the victims on the ceilings and walls of his cell. With special electronic audio systems, pipe in the voices of the thirteen families who have lost their sons and daughters, wives and husbands, moms and dads, so they can express the impact Mr. Nidal had on their lives. Include the surviving victims of the shooting, not with hate messages, but messages of forgiveness, over and over again for the next fifty years, sixteen hours a day, allowing time for sleep, food and prayer. Caution must be used that it is not perceived as “torture.”  It should not be torture, only retribution and justice from which he cannot escape.
He should hear how little boys and girls no longer have a father or mother, how the spouses must struggle to take care of fatherless families, how moms and dads live with broken hearts over the senseless loss of their sons and daughters. Not once or twice in a courtroom, but over and over for fifty years. Not loud, not angry, not insulting, no expletives. Peaceful messages for which he will have no option to pull the plug – for a natural lifetime, starting at 6 a.m. and ending at 10 p.m. every day and night. That’s punishment, well deserved.
If  Hasan is sentenced to life behind bars without social or Islamist contacts, it will send a message to the world of Jihadis. You cannot attack our country and wage war, kill and maim our citizens at random, and then expect to enter into the gates of paradise.
Respecting religion is good and proper, when religion teaches love and harmony for all mankind. But when religion is used as a cloak for evil, disharmony and murder, it nullifies respect. Sadly, such evil and disharmony is what Islam teaches in a huge segment of the world. The Center for the Study of Political Islam estimates that Islam is responsible for 270 million deaths in the 1400 years of its existence, all in the name of God. In the last ten years alone, Islam is the root of over 20,000 acts of deadly terror around the globe.
There is too much emphasis on the death penalty as an ultimate punishment. Nidal Hasan would dread life in a lonely cell and revel in dying. Why give him, and the world of Islamic crazies exactly what they hope for?
