SUFFERING OF WOMEN IN FUNDAMENTALIST ISLAM

There are very few reports of forcible rape inside of fundamentalist Islamic countries, not because they don’t occur, but because it’s too risky for the victims to report.

If a woman in a fundamentalist Islamic claims she was raped, she must be prepared to prove her accusations. That requires:

1) A confession by the perpetrator(s)

Or

2) Producing four eye witnesses who will testify for the woman. Those witnesses must all be males.

Is it any wonder?

If a married woman cannot “prove” her claim, she is then considered an adulteress, a crime that is punishable by death. (Stoning)

Why then shouldn’t men in fundamentalist countries feel free to rape whoever they want, as it is a certainty it will not get reported, and if so, they will not be punished?

From the Koran:

Surah 24:14: “Why did they no bring four witnesses of it? But as they have not brought witnesses, they are liars before Allah.”

From the Hadith: Bukhari 5.59.462. Provides the background for the four witness rule. Muhammed’s favorite wife, Aisha, was accused of cheating. Three witnesses corroborated the event, but Muhammed refused to believe it and thus established a rule that four witnesses are required.

Recently, a woman in Tripoli broke loose from her captors (Kadhafi’s men, apparently) and rushed to a hotel where international journalists were assembled. Cameras were rolling when she began a tirade, claiming that she had been held and raped by fifteen men. Libyan men and women took control of the woman, smashed reporter’s camera’s and tackled the screaming woman to shut her up. Then they escorted her to a waiting car, and shuffled her off to nowhere. Her saving grace, might be that she managed to make an international scene of it. Otherwise, they will have dug the hole and collected the rocks for her by now. Watch:

A Queensland woman claims she was drug raped in the UAE. Here’s her story:

Then there is the case for divorce. In Islamic fundamentalism, a woman doesn’t dare ask for a divorce, unless she is willing to live through hell, or have her head removed, as the New York television station owner did in 2009. However, if a man wants a divorce, he simply says to the wife (three times): “I divorce you!”

If we really knew the true statistics about rape and abuse of women in places like Saudi Arabia, Libya, Syria, Yemen, etc., folks would undoubtedly be shocked. Then again, the UN would do nothing, because they are dominated by countries on the Human Rights Council, such as Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Is that not a laugh?

Can a married woman be raped by her husband, even if they are not living together?

Koran, Surah 2.223: “Your wives are a tilth for you, so go into your tilth whenever you like and do good beforehand for yourselves, and be careful of your duty to Allah, and know that you will meet Him and give good news to the believers.” In other words, a woman who is legally married cannot claim rape by a husband.

In Muhammed’s words, according to Ibn Majah (Hadith): “By him in Whose Hand lies my life, a woman can not carry out the right of her Lord, till she carries out the right of her husband. And if he asks her to surrender herself (for sexual intercourse) she should not refuse him even if she is on a camel’s saddle.”

As we might remember, a fumbling New Jersey judge in 2010 allowed the complaint of rape by a woman against her estranged husband, to be settled by Sharia law. In essence, her complaint was summarily dismissed in favor of the Islamic way. His ruling, thank goodness, was over ruled in a higher court.

That’s just a smidgen of where this whole thing can lead to in another fifty years if we keep making excuses for those who would make us (unbelievers and women) into slaves.

BEWARE OF THE MSA IN THE USA

The MSA (Muslim Students of America) is the largest and most powerful organization of Islamic college students in North America. They were formed under, financed by, and controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood, one of many Islamic organizations in the U.S. whose purpose is the overthrow of American freedom and democracy as we know it, to be replaced with Sharia law.

Do not fall for the premise that they are a peaceful, down-trodden, moderate group for kids who are only seeking love and acceptance. Far from it. They are infesting campuses in order to establish power and disrupt anything that is perceived contrary to the goals of Islam. They are nearly every major university in all four corners of this country, with plenty of MB (Muslim Brotherhood) money at their disposal with which to finance any project.

Not long ago, the Israeli ambassador to the U.S. came to speak at the University of California, Irvine campus, but was systematically shouted down by one MSA student after another, in order to disrupt the talk. The students are so effective, that many colleges and universities fear inviting any scholars and public figures that might piss them off. Thus, its censorship by default. Check the video at UC Irvine:

Brigitte Gabriel is a Lebanese-born journalist, now an American, who heads ACT for America, a group dedicated toward fighting the incursion of Sharia and Islamic intolerance. A dynamic speaker, (who I have met) she is often invited to civic organizations and college campuses. In her book, “Because They Hate,” she writes about her invitations to schools:

“Speakers who aren’t friendly to Islam (such as myself) require a full security staff, including body guards and K-9 units, to ensure our lives will be protected when giving a lecture on a university campus. When I spoke at the University of Detroit in 2006, I was accompanied by security details fit for a president. This was the result of a Palestinian group in California sending an e-mail to their Detroit friends urging that ‘Muslims, Arabs, their friends and allies to show up and give Brigitte Gabriel a proper welcome.”

Check out this MSA student’s challenge to author, David Horowitz on campus. Pay attention to her final statement in answer to Horowitz’s question:

Anyone who wants, can access Google and find a plethora of videos and reports about speeches being disrupted on college campuses.

When speaking at a library after my book, “Militant Islam In America” was released, one man raised his hand about an hour into the talk and said he was a Muslim, and that all my sources were lies. He seemed Anglo-American-born, polite, probably a convert, so I asked him a question, “Sir, do you ever pledge allegiance to the United States?”

His unabashed answer: “No. My only allegiance is to my God.”

The Saudis have been flowing millions (maybe billions) of their petro dollars into the U.S., targeting universities and colleges, (and prisons). For example, Harvard and Georgetown Universities have accepted as much as $20 million in donations from a Saudi prince. Nice folks, those Islamists, they really want us to get good educations. Of course, that kind of money guarantees foot baths for Muslims throughout the campuses, special hours for female Muslims-only in the gym, Halal meals in the eatery, lots of Islamic professors and support for on and off campus organizations.

More definitively, it is bribe money. Quid pro quo. Big bucks translates to big favors. But in this case, those favors are slowly allowing Sharia to creep into our children’s lives. Do the university presidents care?  Not really. They care about money, the ultimate Achilles heel of America.

Recently, a figure from the MSA was videoed leading a “Pledge of Allegiance.” It’s just a little over a minute. Pay close attention to the text of their pledge:

If you heard it right, they declare: “Jihad is my spirit. Paradise is my goal.”

If you heard it right, they said, “I will die to establish Islam.”

If you don’t know what Jihad means, I’ll be happy to forward you anyone of many documents. If you don’t know what the Muslim Brotherhood is all about, I’ll by happy to enlighten you as well.

Pay attention folks: “I will die to establish Islam!” “Jihad is my spirit.”  The enemy is here, laughing all the way, walking unbridled through the back doors of our country while our kids die shooting guns in Afghanistan.

And we give them (MSA students)visas, student loans, welfare housing, food stamps, and whatever entitlements they can muster from our tax dollars. We give them license. We give them a platform, and we embolden them, because too many of us make excuses for them.

ELIZABETH TAYLOR: THE TRUE "TEN"

10″
No one came close. Not even Bo Derek.
Grace Kelly? Maybe a distant second.
Like no other, Elizabeth Taylor set the standard for beauty, grace and talent.
We all will have our turn one day. She had hers yesterday, passing into post-life as all mortals do, eventually.
As a movie buff since early boyhood, my eyes, my mind and my heart were forever drawn to the screen, breathless, every time I saw her in National Velvet, Father Of The Bride, A Place In The Sun, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, Virginia Woolf and so many more. Every feature of her face, her body and her attitude spelled: Flawless.
Couple that with acting talent (two Oscars) and an open heart with which she shared her wealth with the needy, giving of her time and energy toward the international fight against AIDS.
We all know about the marriages, the weight problems later in life, her battles with alcoholism and more. Though a Goddess, metaphorically, she was a fragile human being after all, prone toward love, addiction and excess. But she always maintained dignity. She married the men she loved, all seven of them, which is more than we can say for the nature of relationships we see in today’s array of Hollywood glitz.
She earned a mere $100 a week for her work in Lassie Come Home, and eventually became the first actress to draw $1 million for her part in Cleopatra. I thought she was mis-cast in that movie, simply because she was too Anglo, too light skinned, too petite to be playing a role that portrayed an Egyptian woman of the Roman era.
Taylor was also a woman of deeds. Few people know, or remember, that she saved actor Montgomery Clift’s life after a party at her house, when he wrecked his car. She was first to arrive at the accident scene, entered the vehicle and reached into his mouth to remove broken teeth from his throat.
There are numerous sites to access if anyone is interested in trivia about the life of this iconic woman. USA Today newspaper, this date, dedicated nine pages of newsprint — That’s 9 Pages! — to Elizabeth Taylor, just because she died, and lived. Some folks will compare that to Japan, Libya and other dire events that are going on in the world and say she’s not worth all that.
But it’s only for a day. To me, she was worth it.
I’m glad I lived in her era.

LIBYA: HYPOCRACY IN ACTION

Muammar Gadhafi is a bad guy. Brutal dictator. Runs an oppressive government. A supporter of terrorism. He uses unnecessary force to repel his opposition.

Now that we all agree on that, tell me where I’m going wrong here.

Let’s see. We ( along with two Europan allies) have initiated military action within the borders of Libya to protect innocent lives of the rebels from the Gadhafi regime. Sounds good, right?

But wait. Gadhafi’s government did not attack another country in the region. (The Lockerbie Pan Am act of terrorism was over twenty-two years ago, so we can’t count that). This is basically, a civil war in which the people are revolting against the government. It’s all taking place inside of Libya. That’s not much different than: Yemen, Tunisia, Egypt, Bahrain, Jordan, Syria, Iran and et al.

We did not deploy our military airplanes into any of those countries and fire rockets to kill people and destroy property, or engage in any form of warfare, so it makes me wonder why we’re doing it in Libya.

In 2001 and 2003, our president relied on support from congress before entering into any military engagements in Afghanistan and Iraq. People from Afghanistan did, in fact, attack our country. And, there was information (however faulty) that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. Libya had no weapons of mass destruction (that we know of) nor did they attack us. Yet, our government has acted militarily and without congressional approval.

Odd, the media doesn’t condemn the actions of this president, as it has condemned the actions of the past president. If it were G.W. Bush who approved of a military strike in Libya, MSNBC and the major networks would be excoriating the president.

Then again, there have been brutal dictators all over the world, who have oppressed their citizenry and murdered many thousands, even millions, of innocents while we stood by. Oh wait, the UN passed resolutions (yawn) and the U.S. made statements condemning the killings. That’s good enough.

Where was the U.S. and the allies when the Islamic barbarians were slaughtering millions of innocents in the Sudan during the last forty years?

Where was the U.S. when Dictator Mugabe was slaughtering hundreds of thousands of innocents in the nation of Zimbabwe? He was brutal to innocent civilians, wouldn’t you say?

And what of the genocide in Rwanda where nearly one million innocents were systematically slashed to death in the 1990’s? Oh yes, we condemned that and the UN came to establish order. Until, of course, they put their tails between their legs and hauled ass.

What did we do when North Korea and Kim Jong Il’s army fired shells on the innocent people of South Korea in 2010?

Somalia has undergone barbaric rule with innocents murdered by the thousands in the last twenty years. Where has the UN been? Where are the military forces from around the world? And what was the reaction of the U.S.?

Somali pirates are terrorizing shipping lanes off the coast of Africa, with near impunity, and we don’t do anything but lay down like wimps. As of December, at least 65 ships are still being held with some 650 innocent hostages imprisoned and held for ransom, all from other countries including the U.S. Where is the outrage? Where is the U.S. Air Force, Marines, Navy and Army?

But, let’s get Gadhafi. We’ll show him.

Just three days ago, the Palestinians of Gaza fired over 150 rockets into the sovereign state of Israel. The U.S. barely uttered a peep. It was: AN ACT of WAR. Yet, the world stood nearly silent, barely mentioned in the media. No fighter jets. No shelling… other than Israel’s own retaliatory response. Where’s the outcry? Where was the mighty U.S. Air Force when the rockets were assailing the tiny nation that everyone loves to hate? When will the pathetic UN stand up for Israel against the hoards of barbarians whoever they are?

All that followed a brutal slaughter of five members of an Israeli family in their private home, including helpless children stabbed to death, only because they were Jewish. Tsk Tsk . A mere blip in the news.

Meanwhile, the people of Gaza passed out candy and flowers in celebration of the killings as though it were a holiday. Later that day, after the brutal murders and the Japanese earthquake/tsunami, President Obama played golf (March 12th) and then hosted a gridiron club dinner with Washington’s elite. After all, there are priorities.

Then, there is Iran. Speaking of oppressive regimes and brutal treatment of their people, the whole world watched as the Iranian government of President Ahmadinejad used brutal force repeatedly in 2009 and then in 2011to quell any uprisings of citizens demonstrating and begging for freedom of choice, and freedom from oppression. Where was the outcry? Where was the U.S. Air Force? The Brits? The French? The UN? Meanwhile, the Iranian government inches closer to their stated goals. We all know what they are.

So, forgive me my cynicism. I think there’s far more to this story than the U.S., France and England trying to help support the rebellion.

Sadly, we have morphed from Tom Brokaw’s Greatest Generation to the most Hypocritical Wimp Generation. There are less people and few countries that respect the United States any longer.

Muammar Gadhafi may be ousted. Then what? Anyone think it’s going to get better?

I have two words in answer to that question: Muslim Brotherhood
