People can argue ad infinitum about the history of the Israeli-Middle east situation, the bottom line is this: Israel exists. It is a sovereign nation. It has been under attack for 60 years, surrounded on three sides by many other nations who are dedicated toward its annihilation.

Imagine your home being the target of bullets and bombs, day after day. You are faced with a choice of dying, or fighting back. Your enemy has no interest in talking, they only want you destroyed. They make that crystal clear. No one comes to defend you. Finally, you have had enough and you start firing back with all the arms at your disposal. It’s not your intent to make it an even fight, it’s your intent to destroy them before they destroy you. You have no choice. Incredibly, public opinion is swayed by effective propaganda and people think you’re the bad guy.

Expand that scenario into a country instead of a single homestead, and you have Israel.

During his run for the presidency, while visiting Israel, Barack Obama said, “If somebody was sending rockets into my house where my two daughters sleep at night, I would do everything to stop that, and would expect Israel to do the same thing.” Let’s hope he doesn’t change his mind after January 20th.

Hamas exists for a single purpose. Not to govern, but to destroy Israel. This is no secret.

There is no negotiating. No sitting at the table. No tit for tat. It’s kill or be killed.

Three years ago, in a gesture of good will and compliance with the demands of the United Nations, Israel agreed to pull out from the Gaza strip, thereby returning land to Arabs and extricating nine thousand Jewish homesteaders in the process. This was done in the name of forging peace.

Hamas was so grateful, they responded by firing more than 6,000 gifts over the border to Israel in the form of rocket attacks, with the intent on killing, killing and killing anyone. No particular target, just any kid, any mother, any store owner, any home owner. Provoke Terrorize. Antagonize. Murder. You know…all those elements that create an atmosphere for peace.

And now, America’s “peaceful” Muslims are taking to the streets in support of Hamas.

Imagine if China started hurling rockets over the border into Russia, killing just to kill. Or, if Cuba started sending deadly rockets into Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. Any bets? It would be declared an act of war, and China or Cuba would be paying the price. When any one nation attacks another nation, that is a declaration of war. And when your enemy vows to destroy you, all bets are off.

Palestinian sympathizers will tell you how Israel is killing women and children, just look at the news reports on television. What the sympathizers don’t tell you ( and the media downplays) is how Hamas deliberately sets up their headquarters and firing ranges within populated areas for the very purpose of creating death and destruction when the inevitable retaliation comes. Hamas knew full well that Israel would ultimately react against their positions. They used their civilians as human shields, and are solely responsible for the deaths of innocents in their midst. But they don’t care. It’s important for propaganda when the CNN cameras are rolling, for all of us to see bloodshed and carnage among their women and children. Be sure to blame it all on Israel. Meanwhile, those dead babies and women will be considered martyrs. Collateral damage.

Cease fires? They work great, especially for Hamas who use that period to bolster their supply of rockets and bombs.

Apologists for Hamas think it should all be settled at the negotiating table. Dream on. Hamas prohibits negotiations. In its opening statement the Hamas charter states: “Israel will rise and remain erect until Islam eliminates it.”

More quotes from their unambiguous charter which was published in 1988.

Article 13: “There is no solution to the Palestinian problem except by Jihad.”

Article 28: “Israel, by virtue of being Jewish and of having a Jewish population defies Islam and the Muslims.”

Negotiate? Come on.

Then, there is the omnipotent Muslim Brotherhood which keeps the flames alive while under the radar posing as a moderate organization. Their fingerprints are all over this on-going conflict as articulated in a manifesto which spells out their global strategy for world dominion, authored in 1982. It’s called “The Project.” Here’s part of the tactics… in writing:

* Inflame violence and keeping Muslims in the West in a Jihad frame of mind;

* Make the Palestinian cause a global wedge issue for Muslims;

* Adopt the total liberation of Palestine from Israel and the creation of an Islamic state as a keystone in the plan for global Islamic domination;

* Instigate a constant campaign to incite hatred by Muslims against Jews and reject any discussions of conciliation or coexistence with them;

Please don’t tell me about the plight of the Palestinians and how it’s all the fault of Israel. Israel is the size of a match box laying in a football field of Arab nations, most of whom fill their children’s heads with hatred, teaching them that Jews and apes and pigs and must be destroyed.

They tell kids it’s the will of God. Some examples from Koran:

* [2.65] And certainly you have known those among you who exceeded the limits of the Sabbath, so We said to them: Be (as) apes, despised and hated.

* [5.60] Say: Shall I inform you of (him who is) worse than this in retribution from Allah? (Worse is he) whom Allah has cursed and brought His wrath upon, and of whom He made apes and swine, and he who served the Shaitan; these are worse in place and more erring from the straight path. (In Islam, Shaitan is analogous to enemy or Satan)

* [7.166] Therefore when they revoltingly persisted in what they had been forbidden, We said to them: Be (as) apes, despised and hated.

* [5.51] O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.

This is no Israeli-formed hatred born in the 20th century. Jews have been the subject of hatred by radical Muslims since the inception of Islam. During the time of Muhammed’s life in seventh century Medina, when he was considered a “warrior,” frustration rose over Jewish refusals to accept Islam and their position of neutrality during various battles in Arabia. Converting people to Islam was the highest priority of Muslim leaders, but the Jewish people simply wanted to remain Jews. Thus, in 627 A.D., nearly 700 Jewish men from one settlement were unceremoniously beheaded, their wives taken as concubines and their children paraded into schools of Islam.

That’s one way to generate conversions.

Fast forward. During WW II, mullahs from the areas of Palestine commiserated with Hitler to lend assistance to the extermination project. It’s an historical fact. Writers Paul Longgrear and Raymond McNemar tell of Hitler’s enthusiastic support in the early days of the great war:

“Once in Berlin, Palestinian Mufti Haj Amin el-Husseini received an enthusiastic reception by the “Islamische Zentralinstitut” and the whole Islamic community of Germany, which welcomed him as the “Führer of the Arabic world.” In an introductory speech, he called the Jews the “most fierce enemies of the Muslims” and an “ever corruptive element” in the world.”

And so, all this hatred didn’t start with the establishment of Israel. It has been fomenting for fourteen centuries. In modern times, the Palestinian people are surely suffering, but much of that suffering has been brought on by their own leaders when, in fact, their leaders had choices. They have had numerous opportunities to form their own sovereign nation, numerous chances to grow in prosperity and to live a peaceful life, numerous chances to participate in global economic matters, upgrade education, science and agriculture, but instead, their leaders have chosen to use money for warfare, terror and spewing hatred, thus, suffering and poverty.

Perhaps the oil rich Arab nations who pour billions into the European and American infrastructure for the purpose of gaining political and social footholds should better funnel those billions in the form of humanitarian funds to the Palestinians. But that doesn’t happen. Best to keep the Palestinian people suffering and in a Jihad frame of mind.

In 1948, the United Nations jointly proposed the creation of two states, one Jewish (Israel) the other Arab (Palestine). Refusing to live side-by-side with Jews, the Arabs turned it down and, instead, five nations militarily invaded Israel. The rest is history. Israel has been under attack ever since, on unending notice by the football-field Arab countries that their days are numbered, and they will soon no longer exist. Many Palestinian schools do not even depict Israel on maps of the middle east. The hatred is intense.

So, now we’re at it again. Israel retaliates against an enemy who has been attacking them, who has killed their people, who has sworn to drive them into the sea. Sure enough, “peaceful” and “moderate” Muslims are hitting the streets in support of Hamas. Islamic leaders are coordinating and forming demonstrations all over the U.S., including this one which was videoed by a civilian in Ft. Lauderdale last week. Europe and the mid-east has come to America. What will the next ten years bring?

If I were a politically incorrect and brutally honest president, I’d be sending a message to those people: In the name of peace, reject Hamas totally or face what the Israeli’s have been facing for 60 years: Annihilation. You all voted for Hamas. You got what you asked for. Israel has as much right to terminate the existence of Hamas as the allies had in terminating the Nazis. It has no other choice. Hamas has made that clear.

That would also send a clear message to Hezbollah at the northern border, another terrorist surrogate of Iran.

And when the dust settles, Israel will be among the first of nations to help rebuild the Palestinians.

Remember: “If the Palestinians laid down their arms, there would be peace in the middle east.

If the Israeli’s laid down their arms, there would be no Israel.”
